Regularly, a new textile article in connection with the Pointcarré CAD software is posted.

Each article is divided in two parts:

• a general part accessible to anyone.
  
• a tutorial part, that only Pointcarré users will access, describing the Pointcarré features used in a downloadable example (parts written in red).

In the general part, one could learn new techniques about weaving, design or CAD, through topics very different such as ‘Jacquard cloth with supplementary warps and wefts’ or ‘managing resolution issues in CAD systems’.

In the tutorial part, exercises about the topic developed in the first part will be available. They will describe the features of the software used in the actual example. Pointcarré users will be able to deepen, at their own pace, their software knowledge through very significant and educational tutorials.

Up to now, Pointcarré’s main assets were an excellent CAD/CAM software, constantly updated and easy to use as well as a very good customer service.
With these articles, Pointcarré wants to grant its customers with a new textile know-how.

In thirteen years, Pointcarré has continuouly increased it textile skills thanks to a dynamic team specialized in CAD/CAM : engineers of the textile industry, designers coming from renowned decorative arts schools or fine arts schools as well as weaving experts. Pointcarré has a continuous relationship with Jacquard companies set up over 200 years ago and numerous textile schools throughout the world.

Half of the articles will be written by customers and people in relation with Pointcarré and the other half by influential independent textile personalities.

Through the Internet, the knowledge of specialists, scattered all over the world, will be shared by all Pointcarré users, wherever they are based in a country with a secular textile know-how or in the emerging countries.
