Pointcarre developed Weave Design to allow design studios and style offices to create checks, stripes and simple woven fabrics without technical requirements. It is also the perfect solution for wallpaper designers who want to simulate woven fabric and give their patterns a realistic textile look.
Color at the heart of the process
Color is at the heart of Pointcarre : the colors you pick stay exactly the same throughout the whole creation and development process. You just define the colorways for the warp and the weft, edit the weave blanket, and the simulation updates on screen in real time.

The Dobby Weave software helps you create and modify any kind of dobby cloth, at all stages, from design to on-loom production. As in every Pointcarre module, color is guaranteed throughout the creation and development process : you define the colorways for the warp and the weft and edit the blanket weave.
Your own yarns and colors
Dobby Weave comes with hundreds of 3D yarns and the main color libraries included, Pantone, Archroma, ColorCSI and the Econyl yarns, so you can reference the colors of your yarns and use them directly in your designs. The warp yarn layout can be drawn directly on the cloth, entered end-by-end or written as measure unit formulas, which makes it quick and easy to create multiple weaves and double weave fabrics, and to build plaids and stripes that adhere to the cloth densities.
Synchronized yarn database
Pointcarre has developed a synchronized yarn database. Register all the necessary data to create a technical card that takes into account the changes of the market, and anticipate the weight of the fabric and its cost. For even more flexibility, weaves can be used as new pegplans simply by dragging and dropping them onto the peg-plan diagram.
